Residency Candidate Registration and Requirements

Prior to registering, a candidate must be enrolled in an approved ACVNU Residency Training Program.

Upon enrolling in an approved program, the candidate must then register with the ABVNU within 90 days.

The candidate registration form must include but is not limited to the following information:

-        Name of Resident

-        Whether the Resident is attempting to achieve Diplomate or Affiliate Member status

-        Name of the Residency Advisor

-        Name of Residency Co-Advisor (if applicable)

-        Names of Residency Advisory Committee

- Education and Employment History

Resident candidates who are currently enrolled in an approved ACVNU Residency Training Program, that have previously enrolled in a formal nephrology-urology training program prior to July 2023 may be eligible for retroactive credit towards their ACVNU residency requirements.

These candidates must submit additional program information, details and supporting documents as requested in Part 3 of the Resident Candidate Registration Form.
